Raquel Natalicchio is an independent photojournalist based in Los Angeles,CA who documents social issues, including political mobilization, migration, and the US/Mexico border. Her work focuses on the universality of the human condition, including themes of love, struggle, resilience and community. She is currently working on a long term project called “Borderlands” that explores the rich diversity of experiences in border communities along the US/Mexico border.
Raquel discovered photography in an after school arts program and it changed her life. As a result, one of her passions is working in education, developing photography curricula centered around themes like self love for teen girls. Raquel is a contributor to Zuma Press and a proud member of Diversify Photo and The Curious Society.
